Some interesting things I have noticed....

1.) You are not allowed to stay in your car (or your dog for that matter) at the car wash. You drive your car into the car wash, get out, pay the machine and stand outside, when the car wash is finished you go back in the wet car wash and drive out. My opinion is if the car wash is to dangerous to be in your car, maybe you should not use the car wash!
2.) You are very welcome to tip the receptionist at the doctor's office if she gets you an appointment promptly but you hardly or rarely tip your server at the restaurant no matter how big the check is.
3.) You do not need a Driver's License if your vehicle does not go over 40K's/25 miles per hour.
4.) To fill up my In-Law's Honda CRV it costs 73.00 Euros or $96.88 for a 14.5 gallon tank! AND you must always go inside the gas station to pay. There is no way to pay with a credit card at the pump.

Some new pics for you.....

Hello Everyone! We had a good weekend and I wanted to share a few photos with you. Friday night we went to Aldersbacher Brewery, which I love. It is an absolutely wonderful brewery and they have been brewing beer since 1268! The atmosphere is fantastic and the beer is SO yummy. They had musician walking around singing and people were clinking their mas' together saying "PROST." The brewery kitty was still there but he was a bit cranky. He did come by to see if we had anything for him. He walks along the backs of the benches and under the tables looking for a scratch and a treat.
Saturday was sunny and gorgeous so we went for a long walk to the golf course. We got something to drink and walked back home.
Sunday was Schwimbad day which I LOVE. According to my BGF Michael, every good German goes goes to the Schwimbad. We went to Bad Fussing again and had a great time!
Today we picked Patrik's parents up from work and went to my favorite Home store, Weko. This store is HUGE and has beautiful things for your home and garden. I was in heaven looking around at all of the decor ideas. On the top floor they have a huge cafe and you can take a break from shopping and have a beer, which we did.
For dinner we went to a fabulous Italian Restaurant for pizza in Bad Fussing and now I am home, writing to you : )
I MISS YOU ALL!

Here is where I am....

Sorry I could not find a better map (to your right)! If you go to Google Maps you can enter Birkenweg 7 Kirchham Bavaria Germany and it should show Patrik's Parents house. We are about 10 minutes at the most from the Austrian Border.
BTW, Magy told me I was very useful today...YES!

Just about packed my bags!!!

Unfortunately, Patrik is sick so of course his Mom is wanting to take care of him. I was uploading the pictures I have been promising you and she brings all this stuff and puts it down on the table in front of me and it goes like this:

Magy: "Salah, you put on Patrik, this and this like this. This is dog fat (tapping on a small box with a cute Lab on it)."
Me: "DOG FAT, NOOOOO, WHAT DO YOU MEAN DOG FAT??!" My heart starting to race.
Magy: "This is dog."
Me:"No, Patrik is not putting dog fat on him!"
Magy AND Herby: This is good for health. In World War II they do this. It is like pig or cow."
Me: "NO, this is YOGI or Sam or Hank to me! Nope, no way!"

I sat there for a minute and waited until she walked away. I then marched downstairs and gave Patrik a new one. He surprisingly agreed with me and came upstairs knowing he can't blow my cover that I am freaking out.
He quietly grabs the small box with the cute picture of the sweet Lab and a bowl of herbs and reads the box (it is in Czech). He giggles and tells me that there are NO animal products in this medicine, it is not tested on animals, matter of fact part of the proceeds from the sale of this product go to animal funds!!!! OMG...THANK GOODNESS because a return ticket home would be expensive!
Patrik did ask me not to say anything and if her thinking there is real dog fat in the medicine makes her happy....just go with it.

MY NEW FAVORITE SONG!!!!

The Queen of Hearts. Going to The Fasching Ball in Grafenwoeher.

Funny....

The other day Magy asked me if I wanted a beer and it went like this:
Magy:"Salah, you want bier?"
Me: " Ja, bitte, danke." I go to the fridge and grab a cold beautiful beer.
Magy: Walks over to me. "No, dis in not good for your stomach." Takes the beautiful cold beer from me and puts it back in the fridge. Walks over, grabs a warm, room temperature beer and hands it to me with a smile.
SIGH...this may be a long one but I gotta love her because the things she does entertains my Friends and Family!

We had a great time!

We are back at Patrik's parents. Hansi brought us home yesterday. We had a great time at the Fire House last Wednesday in Grafenwoeher. All of the Firemen are so nice. I got a tour and I also got to wear some of Heiko's Gear. I felt like a little kid on a school field trip.
Patrik's Birthday went really well and he got to see some of his old friends, a.k.a. The Wild Boys. The Wild Boys are a group that Patrik was part of growing up. Before the party, Heiko and I picked up some really good Schnitzel he had ordered and Patrik made the best batch of potato salad he has ever made! We went to the "drink" store and bought a lot of beer and soda.
We had Patrik's party in a cabin that had a fire place inside and outside and it was on the border of the Base by a pond. I was really happy for Patrik!

By the way.....

TODAY IS PATRIK'S BIRTHDAY!!!

Get up, get ready, party! Get up, get ready, party! Get up, get ready, party!

The above is my daily Itinerary! I am having a great time here in Grafenwoeher! Patrik's Dad traded a massage with one of his patients who lives in Grafenwoeher so we could catch a ride with him here. We arrived a few days ago but I have had no time to Blog!
When we arrived here we went to Scala, always a must when we are in G-Town! Scala is our favorite pizza place. Patrik and Heiko have been going there since they 13! Same owner, same place, same pizza!
The second day we went to the Fasching Ball (Carnival Dance)! I wore my Queen of Hearts Costume and we had a great time. I had a bit of a melt down before due to the fact I did not have a proper curling iron (my Dad and Mom know what these melt downs are like). I don't remember the end very well due the fact EVERYONE was buying me drinks but we had fun.
Yesterday we went to another Fasching Party. We were in a Fasching Parade! Heiko was DJ'ing on one of the floats and so we got to ride along. I was tossing candy to children, waving, dancing and singing, it was great. After the Parade we parked the float at the main tent so everyone was dancing and singing to Heiko's music. When it got dark we went inside the big tent and danced ALOT. The only bad thing is everyone was smoking so after a while we sat outside! We stayed until midnight and then Heiko's Girlfriend, Martina, took us home.
I have to say the highlight of my evening would be when a 19 year old boy came over to talk to me and he wanted me to go with him to a party. Unbeknownst to me, I am a Cougar?!? He thought I WAS 19!!! Heck yeah, I still got it BA-BY! ; ) He came back 3 times and I had to recruit Martina (Heiko's Girlfriend) to help him finally realize I was a 30 something, married lady and I could not go with him.
Today we got up at noon, got ready and went downstairs to have cake and coffee with Friedl, Heiko's downstairs neighbor. She is an adorable Oma!
Currently we are getting ready to go to the Fire Department, right next door, where Heiko works for another party.
I promise I will post pictures when we get back to Patrik's parents and I can use the card reader.
Tomorrow Hansi (Patrik's other Best Buddy) is coming to get us and we will spend the night with him and his wonderful family in Weiden. There is a big party of us who are all going out to a Mongolian Restaurant tomorrow eve.
MISS YOU ALL!
